Did you miss your Initial Enrollment Period for Medicare?

By planmedicare1 - March 1, 2018

enroll, if you missed your Initial Enrollment Period last year? If you’re eligible for Medicare, you may still be able to sign up for Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Medicare Part B (Medical Insurance) during the General Enrollment Period, but only if you act quickly.

The good news is, every year there is something called a General Enrollment Period, which runs from January 1st – March 31st, and gives individuals coverages starting on July 1st. Individuals can enroll during the General Enrollment Period for Medicare Part A & Medicare Part B if:

  1. You didn’t sign up when you were first eligible.
  2. You aren’t eligible for a Special Enrollment Period.

You may be subject to a late penalty fee, so it’s important that you speak with a licensed insurance agent to discuss your options. Call our office 516-900-7877 to set up a time now.
